How does your media product represent particular social groups?

My Magazine represents many different social groups. Firstly, it represents young men wanting to be rappers and my image conveys the message that you can be that person. The artist has the same kind of look that the other rappers do.

The above image in comparison to my image, my image has the same representation of jewellery and the same kind of clothes the Kanye, the backpack is a normal trend of the social group I'm representing, also its slightly representative of the younger demographic with the type of clothes they are wearing. However my image doesn't have any designer clothing in it maybe to represent the artist as someone underground and not too famous or expensive, therefore in reach of the target audience.

My magazine also mentions live music on the cover and in the contents and I think it represents the average young music buyer who goes to concerts.

I believe most importantly it also represents the black community and black western culture from which the urban music derived from, as the people mentioned on the front cover and the artist featured in the magazine lives just like the everyday guy out there and his interview entails things such as going to school and rapping. Also a lot of the people idolised in my magazine are black people and don't typically have the white pop model on the front or inside the magazine, which is directly what I wanted my magazine's audience to be.
My magazine doesn't represent the white audience because of the type of music magazine it is, as it is promoting urban music which is black music essentially it doesn't really show the white audience so much. The use of the word "soul" is usually applied to the black race. But it does integrate some white characteristics such as the word "gigs" and using certain artists such as Mark Ronson and Jessie J that are bot white artists that make black music. Therefore, it integrates some of the white culture.

My images of Women in my magazine are natural looking females, for example they both have their natural hair or and have a small amount of make up on or statement/decoration E.g.
Erykah Badu in this picture has tribal paint on her face to symbolise her roots maybe:

Rox is slightly reflective of Erykah Badu. They both have the image of what real soul music looks like. Within their clothes, they both show that they don't really care about the expensive clothes:

My picture of Baby Sol however , is not representing by having fake eyelashes on but she doesn't use make up.
I suppose my magazine is showing both sides of the spectrum. My front image shows wanting to aspire to be like the expensive artists and show off about money.
And the females show the more natural rooted side about being representative of a naturally black person.
